The Land Trust is a charity that is committed to the long term sustainable management of open space for community benefit.
Our vision is to improve the quality of people’s lives by delivering sustainable, high quality green spaces that deliver environmental, social and economic benefits helping create resilient, thriving communities.
We are passionate about identifying cost effective solutions to deliver high quality and sustainably managed open space.
We work with land owners who, for a variety of reasons, want to pass on responsibility for the management of an area of land. Ahead of taking responsibility we identify and secure appropriate long term funding and management regimes, ensuring that the site has a sustainable future as green open space and crucially that it delivers against our charitable objectives.
We now have ownership or long term management responsibility for over 2,400 hectares of land. We have over 60 sites in England and have just taken our first site in Scotland.
