Mortal Fools is a multi award-winning theatre, drama and creative learning company based in North East England, specialising in co-creation with children and young people.
They use the process of co-creating theatre and performance-based art (like film, animation and audio) with children and young people as a way to improve their mental health and wellbeing, with a unique creative and relational methodology underpinned by the building blocks of Dr Martin Seligman’s PERMA™ Framework for Mental Wellbeing.
They work directly with hundreds of young people every year through a combination of open-access programmes and referral activities in partnership with agencies like schools and other charities, mostly in the North East.
Thousands more young people and schools nationally access their digital creative programmes, for example Melva Digital Programme, which supports key stage 2 children manage anxiety.
