Xanthe spent most of her career as a government operational research analyst before moving into policy roles at NHS England. This background allows her to take a highly analytical approach to policy development and evaluation. She has form for taking on a new role just after a major target has been achieved – in 2015 she became the dementia lead the same month that the diagnosis rate ambition was met for the first time, and this year she became the IAPT programme lead shortly after the IAPT recovery rate standard was met for the first time!
Outside of work Xanthe has just started year 4 of a (hopefully) 5 year PhD at Leeds University Business School. Her research is looking at CEO successions in NHS acute trusts and the impact they have on organisational performance. Xanthe was awarded the Leeds University 110th Anniversary scholarship for the duration of her research.
