Will is responsible for leading the CCUS Policy Team within BEIS and is responsible for progressing the Government’s new approach to CCUS and delivering the commitments made. Will’s team leads on both domestic and international CCUS policy which encompasses the commitment to deliver a CCUS Deployment Pathway by the end of 2018, a review of the investment and delivery frameworks for CCUS, an international CCUS conference and strengthening the UK’s bilateral collaboration with other countries progressing CCUS. Will has led the team since December 2014.
Will previously led on setting up the legislative framework for the UK Capacity Market as part of Electricity Market Reform and before that had a number of roles in Defra, including reviewing the implementation of the Habitats Directive and leading work on climate change adaptation and infrastructure.
