Vicci Wells is the Development Manager for Inclusion Programmes at the Youth Sport Trust. Recent work has seen Vicci lead on behalf of the organisation ‘Play Unified’- a global Special Olympics programme that aims to promote acceptance, tolerance and inclusion for young people with and without learning disabilities. This has so far been delivered in 200 schools across the UK, and impacted on c.30,000 young people aged 13-25.
Vicci also holds an advisory role as a SEND Advocate, (part funded through the Department for Education and hosted by the London Leadership Strategy), is a Director for a Multi Academy Trust and a Governor for a Primary School. This provides real opportunity to lead, develop and position inclusive school sport strategies to ensure there is an offer that is inspiring, accessible and meaningful for young people with and without learning disabilities.
