Tracy Hammond’s first career was an equestrian one. Whilst coaching riders and then working as chief instructor at a riding centre for people who are disabled she became curious about ‘what makes people tick’. This has been a theme for the rest of her working life.
She went on to work with people who were said to have behavioural support needs and quickly realised that services often caused the behaviour she saw. Tracy joined KeyRing in 2001 and has held several roles in the organisation, all with a development, inclusion and innovation theme.
Tracy has led KeyRing’s Criminal Justice policy work for many years and is passionate about getting the stories of people who have been poorly served by the system into the domain of decision makers.
When not at work, Tracy can usually be found riding her horse in the Welsh mountains.
