After gaining a PhD from Strathclyde University, Tony joined BP in 1981 and spent several years as a Research Scientist developing mechanisms for enhanced oil recovery in the North Sea. In 1985 he joined ExxonMobil where he spent 16 years focusing on the emerging liberalised gas market and the negotiation of large gas sales, transport and quality agreements. Tony also worked for Schlumberger and as a gas consultant on many assignments on commercial gas developments, LNG, royalty agreements and gas processing and transportation in Europe, the Americas and in the Middle East. He has latterly focussed on shale gas both in S Africa and more substantively in the emerging UK market. He was and advisor to Peel from 2013 helping them to offer services to the UK shale gas supply chain. He joined Peel as an employee in 2015. Tony lives in Surrey and in his spare time is a Charity Trustee, an enduro motorcyclist, a Chelsea season ticket holder and a keen gardener.
