Tim has nearly 40 years experience in the IT industry covering a wide range of activities from mainframe computer operations, through systems design and development, to working as the CIO for an innovative local authority in the UK prior to joining Microsoft.
During his time at Microsoft, Tim has always been customer facing and has worked with customers in the public, communications, retail, financial, transportation and professional services sectors.
Tim is currently the Microsoft Services CTO for Local and Regional Government and also has a lead role regarding Microsoft CityNext initiatives in the UK.
His current customers include several local authorities where he is leading on digital initiatives focussed on transforming public services.
