Following graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA (Hons) in Communication and Media, Suzie began her career working for the SQA in events management before undertaking roles in marketing, communications and corporate social responsibility, predominantly within the education sector. Suzie then moved to the University of Glasgow, supporting staff communications and engagement. During this period, she undertook a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy, qualifying as a psychotherapist in 2020.
Suzie’s current role, also within the University of Glasgow, brings together her background in communications and mental health training and seeks to build mental health literacy within the University of Glasgow community, to support students in developing the skills and strategies needed to manage their wellbeing and successfully engage with their programme of study.
