I am a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor who practised in the most deprived parts of Somerset for a decade before specialising in children’s safeguarding. I completed fifteen years as Named Nurse Safeguarding Children for a mixed acute, community and mental health Trust before accepting the role of Designated Nurse for Children Looked After and Care Leavers, a new role in Somerset. Since April this year I have been Interim Associate Director of Quality and Nursing for Somerset Integrated Care Board and have safeguarding, mental health, learning disability and autism in my portfolio.
