I unfortunately have lived experience of being autistic and being detained in an out of areas hospital.
I am Free Our People Now Campaign volunteer lead for Media and Campaigns. We are funded by Inclusion London. I am helping FOPN to develop a media contact list, writing articles and doing interviews.
FOPN campaign is so important to me and many others as it is seeking to give a voice directly to those who are detained in institutions throughout the country. These are people with identities, dreams, and families, whose lives are being stolen by outdated state-sanctioned practice.
Our voice is so often not heard, and this is something that needs to change. Disabled People should be at the centre of their own care and the FOPN campaign aims to give these people that voice. I am so passionate about the work that we are doing collectively, and have the privilege to be able to speak about my lived experience. I really hope that through the work with FOPN we can help give this voice to others.
I have enjoyed living in different countries through my studies and diving such as Singapore, Honduras, and Japan, and Austria.
I have a passion for photography and have enjoyed capturing nature both on land and below water.
