Ruby Gatehouse joined HEFCE in September 2014 as a Higher Education Policy Adviser working in the Institution Directorate and subsequently the Learning and Teaching Team. Her work encompasses a range of activities including supporting the development of HEFCE’s learning and teaching policy and, in particular, contributing to the management of the 3 year Learning gain programme which comprises a range of collaborative projects exploring different approaches to expressing and measuring learning gain. Her background is in housing policy and community organising previously working for a Member of Parliament, a charity and a social enterprise. She is also undertaking a MSc in Public Policy at the University of Bristol.
