Rod Weston-Bartholomew is an experienced senior manager in the children and social care sector (charities and local government).

His current role at Barnardo’s of Assistant Director Impact (Care Journeys) is a national programme aimed at creating systems change to improve life outcomes for care experienced young people. Change management has been a long-time passion for Rod, not only delivering it, but understanding its inner workings to improve the change process and experience for the individual and organisation.

Rod has a drive to challenge racial injustice and has held key roles in and for organisations. In the early 2000s he was Chair for the Cleveland Police Force ‘Independent Advisory Group’, established to improve relations between the police and Black and Asian communities and the culture and practice of the force. In this role Rod guided the IAG to shape police interventions, responses to incidents and a new race awareness programme.
