Renata McDonnell is the Research Information Systems Officer at the University of Kent. She works within the Research Excellence Team in Research Services, which oversees the University's submission to the REF, as well as the system by which external grants are approved and recorded, KRIMSON. Renata led the implementation of KRIMSON and is now working on a replacement for the University's costing system, pFACT. In addition she is responsible for the use of SciVal and Vertigo Ventures impact tracker, and more broadly supports academics and administrative staff in ensuring that they understand these systems so that they are well prepared for REF2021, for submitting external grants, and for monitoring impact. She is a member of the Converis and V-V steering groups.
