Rachel has been Assistant Head at Wilson’s School, Wallington since 2019. Wilson’s School is one of the country’s most successful state funded selective schools, awarded ‘London State Secondary school of the Decade’ by the Sunday Times in 2021 and judged Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in September 2022.
Having begun her career in IT & Management Consultancy, Rachel joined Wilson’s in 2011 as a newly qualified teacher. She has subsequently worked as Head of Department, Director of Sixth Form and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, before taking on the full Designated Safeguarding Lead role on her promotion to Assistant Headship.
Wilson’s is a school with a very diverse student body, with pupils coming from boroughs all across London and Surrey. This has enabled Rachel to work regularly and closely with professionals in Social Work, Health (particularly CAMHS) and Police from a wide variety of trusts and boroughs.
