Chris Bojke holds a chair in Health Economics specialising in Health Technology Assessment at the Academic Unit of Health Economics at the University of Leeds. He is also a core member of the NICE Public Health Advisory Committee B and has previously served on the NICE Safe Staffing Committee.
Prior to joining Leeds Chris was a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York where he published extensively on NHS Productivity and prior to that was director of Pharmerit UK, a consultancy company providing NICE reference case evaluations for the pharmaceutical industry. He was the economic lead on the industry model of Holoclar, Europe’s first licensed stem cell technology recently reviewed and accepted by NICE.
Research interests include the wider adoption and application of economic evaluation techniques in the NHS beyond pharmaceutical or medical devices – making better decisions using observational data; reflecting patient and provider heterogeneity and recognising the real-world limitations imposed on decision makers.
