As a registered MH nurse with over 30 years’ experience Pauline Carpenter spent many years working in specialist CAMHS services before moving into a national oversight role with the National Patient Safety Agency as the lead for patient safety (mental health).
She currently works as Head of Inspection at CQC and is the Lead for specialist CAMHS in the hospital directorate. She is an enthusiastic advocate of quality improvement and believes that change can only be sustained when the whole system buys into the idea.
When she is not working Pauline enjoys hill walking especially around her local area and the Quantock Hills.
