Paul is the National Programme Manager for the High Intensity Network. This network is now fully adopted by NHS RightCare and endorsed by the National Police Chiefs Council. It coordinates a growing number of specialist teams across the UK, Holland and the USA. These teams all use a multiple award-winning model of care called SIM. SIM combines specialist police officers and mental health nurses who support service users displaying the highest levels of frequency and risk. The network provides CPD accredited online training courses and monthly webinars for both project managers and frontline staff and requires all teams to collect a universal set of high intensity data for their clients. It therefore delivers all core recommendations of the Five Year Forward View. The network is also supported by Health Education England in London, as a model of care that helps to deliver the Stepping Forward to 2020/21 Mental Health Workforce Strategy. Paul is on the NHS Innovation Accelerator programme.
