Nik Kavanagh has worked for the Young Person’s Advisory Service (YPAS) for eight years. YPAS is a Liverpool based charity established in 1966 that supports children, young people and families across Merseyside to address their mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties. Within YPAS Nik has a dual role of Psychotherapist and Data Lead:
Psychotherapist - as a Person Centred Therapist, Nik works with children and young people aged 11–25 and provides weekly therapy sessions to help address issues that are impacting on their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Data Lead – as Data Lead, Nik provides information, training and data support across the organisation and is also responsible for data extraction, processing and submissions for a wide variety of datasets on national, regional and local levels.
