Nicola Payne has worked for MacIntyre for the past 17 years. Nicola is MacIntyre’s lead for family engagement and leads on the health strategy and vision and sits within the best practice team. Currently, Nicola is leading on a National Lottery Community-funded pilot project called “Dying to Talk” which empowers people to have choice and control in planning for their future and to support staff teams and families to be able to start these important conversations. Nicola has many years of working alongside people living with a learning disability and a diagnosis of dementia; she is a passionate advocate who supports everyone to have a voice and works in ways that make sense to everyone.
