  • Bio

Michelle joined CPI in 2022 and is hugely proud to be part of the CPI community.
She has spent the previous 18 years working in SEN education, predominantly with boys and young men with social, emotional and mental health needs; across the key stages.
She began her career in SEN education as ASC learning support, before going onto teach primary and later moving onto delivering the secondary subject ‘SMSC’.
Whilst studying for her BSc in psychology, Michelle stepped out of the classroom to take a lead in developing pastoral support departments, lead international schools’ partnerships and deliver outreach support to affiliate schools across the UK. More recently Michelle developed and ran a therapy service, within an SMEH residential setting, to support the mental health and well-being needs of those young people affected by trauma.
Michelle has delivered training and workshops at the, ‘Engage in their future’ annual conference along with, SEBDA, NASS and at school regional conferences and in local colleges.
She is passionate about supporting any and all staff who courageously show up to work everyday to provide care to the people in their charge and is driven to advocate for those who need support to be heard and understood.
