Marino is a qualified Registered Mental Health Professional by background and has worked in the NHS for 30 years in various mental health settings ranging from Older Adults mental health, working age adults with severe and enduring mental illness in the community to HM Prison services. He worked as a District Nursing Services Manager in Central London before embarking in setting up the Safeguarding Adults in a Community Healthcare. Marino has got a vast experience with Care Quality Commission as a specialist advisor/inspector mainly in mental health and safeguarding related matters.
He currently works as the Designated Safeguarding Adults Lead Professional for NHS South West London Integrated Care Board.
Marino has been democratically elected as the Vice Chair of the Safeguarding Adults National Network (SANN) and chairs many regional and local safeguarding forums in London, including the London Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
Marino authored the National Safeguarding Adults level 3 training course with Health Education England and was nominated for the HSJ Awards
