Lorraine has a learning disability nurse qualification and has worked with people with learning disabilities for over 30 years in the statutory and voluntary sectors, gaining an Open University BSc(Hons) degree along the way.
In her 8 years with Affinity Trust Lorraine has moved from a senior operational role to the post of Head of Development where she works to develop new opportunities to support people in community settings.
Starting her career in long stay learning disability hospitals gave Lorraine a motivation to ensure that every person she supports lives in the best setting for them and has the best support they can possibly have and seeing the positive impact this has on peoples’ lives continues to inspire her.
