Lisa has worked for Trafford Council for nearly 10 years, joining the HR department as Strategic HR Advisor, progressing to Head of Workforce Strategy, before taking on her current role in November 2014.
Prior to working at Trafford Council, Lisa worked for Halifax Bank of Scotland for 21 years across HR and branch management.
In her current role, Lisa’s notable achievements have included the implementation of a change strategy and roll-out of an organisational-wide training and development programme and the introduction of new pay structures. Lisa is also the Council’s lead officer on a number of Greater Manchester Public Service Reform workforce development projects.
Lisa also leads Trafford’s Female Leadership Group, which is made up of both staff from the Council and wider public sector partners in Trafford, recognising the work and achievements of women working in public sector roles. She is also Vice Chair of the North West branch of the Public Sector People Managers Association (PPMA) and she is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Lisa lives in Greater Manchester with her husband and two children.
She enjoys taking regular exercise classes and participating in sporting events such as the Manchester 10k, which she has now completed 3 times. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family in the Lake District and is a keen swimmer and water-skier.
