Lesley is an experienced communications and engagement specialist with extensive experience in the private sector in customer service, industrial engineering, project management, training and development, internal and corporate communications. She is trained in systems thinking and hard and soft system methodologies which breakdown complexity to improve processes and realise efficiencies.
Lesley joined the NHS 5 years ago and employed her skills in taking a retail approach to collating, aggregating and triangulating patient experience data using a holistic system, which developed into the Insight system.
The Insight system and model of involvement jointly nurture involvement from practice to board level, collate patent experience, clinical effectiveness and safety data from GP practices to CCG level and combine these two with a systematic model of involvement to improve quality and make decisions based on real patient involvement and feedback.
Lesley’s passion is giving patients, carers and the public a voice in health care decision making and ensuring that patient experiences are collected, themed and acted upon to bring about improved services for patients and the public.
