Leigh McFarlane is the Public Policy and Research Manager at thirtyone:eight. She has over 25 years’ experience with children and young people, having previously worked in the Education sector and in the faith leadership context. Her public policy work includes the APPG on Safeguarding in Faith Communities at Westminster and advocating the Northern Ireland Assembly on Position of Trust legislation. Her research interests include safeguarding in faith spaces and safeguarding in the international context. Leigh has recently co-authored research into co-production as a solution to the challenges of safeguarding children in international Christian work. She has also led on developing thirtyone:eight’s work in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
