Laurie Eyles is a specialist Dietitian and the joint team lead for the NHS Lothian weight management service, based in Edinburgh and providing a tiered weight management service for the regional population of around 800,000. Laurie and her job share partner, Alison Diamond, are dedicated to the delivery of high quality, compassionate care and lead a multi-disciplinary team of dynamic and enthusiastic staff who share their passion for weight management.
Laurie qualified from Queen Margaret University with a BSc (Hons) in Dietetics in 2002. She has 15 years of experience working in both acute and primary care, with considerable project management experience, including a PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification. She was chair of the East of Scotland Branch of the British Dietetic Association from 2008-2011 and is currently a member of the Obesity Specialist Group of the BDA and the Scottish National working group for Child and Adult Healthy Weight.
Laurie spends her days off chasing after her two young sons and trying to improve her 5k parkrun PB. She is eternally grateful to her husband for his IT skills and support with every presentation she is asked to do!
