I have worked within Health and Social Care for over 19 years. The bulk of my time has been spent in the Voluntary sector although I spent a short time working in the Education sector.
The majority of my career has been spent in management although I have worked at all levels in terms of supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health needs.
I spent time working and living in South East Asia whilst undertaking voluntary work in local hospitals both private and public. This experience gave me a greater appreciation for our NHS system and all the amazing work that takes place across England.
I trained for several years undertaking my professional qualification around supporting people with Personal Disorders subsequently leading to the development of specialist community services for this client group.
I am currently leading on our Transforming Care work within Maclntyre which is extremely interesting.
