Laura joined CIWEM, the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management in 2009 and is now their Senior Policy Adviser. She specialises in water, energy, air quality and planning policy. Since 2012 she has led CIWEM’s work on shale gas producing two in depth reports on the implications for the water environment. Laura sits on UKOOG’s integrated water management group and works with the UK Government, regulators and the industry to ensure that the environment is safeguarded as the industry is established. Prior to working at CIWEM she worked in climate change adaptation and holds a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Environmental Consultancy and Project Management.
