Keith Dickinson joined NICE in 2013, as Associate Director for Costing & Commissioning.
Now Keith is using his extensive finance and business skills, to enable better implementation of NICE guidance and quality standards, and to identify any cost benefits resulting from implementation. The costing and commissioning team provides practical resource impact support products designed to address barriers and levers to implementation of guidance. Additionally, Keith is a member of the NICE quality and productivity steering group that provides innovative support to identify health and social care quality and productivity improvements.
After 16 years working in the private sector, in accountancy and business roles, Keith joined the NHS in 2003. Working primary in finance roles, Keith has worked within acute, community, mental health and primary care services. His last role before joining NICE was as Deputy Director of Finance within an aspirant FT Trust. Keith has extensive experience in supporting all the organisations he has worked within, in achieving efficiencies that release savings (CIP) on a recurrent basis, in particular by working closely with clinical, support and corporate service areas.
