Kate joined the Alzheimer’s Society in 2006 and now is Operations Director for Greater London, with responsibility for the delivery of over 300 community-based services across the Capital. Ensuring people with dementia get a diagnosis – and thus appropriate support – is a key influence in the work of Kate and her London team and she strongly promotes a multi-disciplinary, partnership approach for an effective dementia care pathway. Kate is also Chair of the Pan London Dementia Action Alliance, working with a number of key organisations towards making London a dementia friendly city. With 20 years’ experience of health and social care in the voluntary sector, Kate is passionate about ensuring people affected by dementia get the specialist and high quality support and care that they need in order to live independently and well for as long as possible.
