Kate is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. She has acuminated nearly thirty years of experience in various areas of mental health patient care such as acute inpatient care, community mental health teams.
In addition to her wide-ranging clinical experience, Kate also has an extensive operational management background that includes management roles such as CMHT Manager, Service Line Manager, Business Unit Management and General Management.
For many years, Kate observed how health care professionals needed to be given opportunity to focus on improving the patient experience and was given the opportunity to coordinate this as the Head of Patient Experience.
Kate’s combination of clinical experience and operational expertise provides a strong foundation for the leadership of Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust’s Transformational Change Programme. Kate considers that staff and service receiver involvement is critical to the provision of good patient care and believes that by working together can create a service that is fit to meet the future needs of our communities within Derbyshire.
