Kate is currently CEO of a medium size charity in Manchester working with youth homelessness. She was a founder member of the national End Youth Homelessness alliance. She is a board member of Acevo and has been a governor at The Manchester College for six years. At the moment, her main interest is in how the voluntary sector and statutory partners can work together to deliver public services differently and her two recent secondments to local government and NHS projects have strengthened her conviction that the strategic talents and leadership of the VCSE sector are fundamental to the success of public reform.
Kate’s first leadership role was in the Probation Service where she spent the first fifteen years of her career before moving to local government and then to her current role five years ago.
