Karl-Filip Coenegrachts is Master of Laws, specialised in European Law (Ghent University, 1996). He currently is the Chief Strategy Officer of the City of Ghent. He is responsible for the city's long-term strategy including the implementation of horizontal policies, smart city strategy, data and information management, policy participation, international relations, city marketing and European funding programmes. His work is focused on the development of the City of People concept, open governance, citizen participation, urban commons and new forms of democracy.
