Karen McGuinness is the Strategic Autism manager at the West Cheshire Autism hub. She has a variety of experience in a personal, voluntary and professional capacity. In addition to her role at the West Cheshire autism hub, she is a director at Autism Support Consultancy ltd, which runs workshops for parents of autistic children. She is the chair of the National Autistic Society Cheshire West and Chester branch, as well as being an ambassador for the Low arousal approach (studio 111). She holds a Bachelor of Philosophy (autism) and Masters of Education (autism). Her inspiration are her 3 children and foster daughter, 3 of which have an autism diagnosis. Her heartfelt wish is that autistic individuals will feel more acceptance and understanding in society.
