Joined the ambulance service in 1992, in what was Greater Manchester Ambulance Service, as a student paramedic, following a career in banking.
Qualified as a Paramedic in 1994. and progressed through the service as a Clinical Practice Supervisor, Assistant Operations Manager, Pathfinder Area Manager until becoming the Regional Urgent Care Development Manager, in what is now North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Having gone through Higher education at MMU, taken a course in Service Re-Design in Integrated Urgent Carer I am currently taking an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and Management at Lancaster University.
In 2013, alongside Mastercall, we were awarded the NHS Alliance Acorn Award, for the collaborative work on the GP Referral Scheme.
