Dr Jim Goddard has been the Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Care Leavers Association since 2010 and has been actively involved with the Association since 2001. He is also a recently-retired academic, having worked at the University of Bradford from 1998 to 2021 (as Senior Lecturer in Social Policy since 2006). In his final seven years at Bradford, he was the Head of Division for the Division of Sociology and Criminology in the School of Social Sciences. He is also the author of numerous publications on issues affecting looked after children and adults who were in care as children.
