Jan has lived-experience of acquired brain injury in children, young people and adults and Founded MATRIX Neurological 8 years ago.
As the mother of a young person with an acquired brain injury, Jan has over 11 years lived-experience of paediatric acquired brain injury; the problems these children, young people and their families face in the real world; and providing non-clinical interventions to children and young people that make a real difference to their lives.
Her professional background was in European and Domestic Funding. She has a degree in Public Service Management, Leadership, Organisational Management, Leadership Qualifications and is an experienced Prince2 Practitioner.
Her ongoing Continuous Professional Development training includes: Paediatric Acquired Brain Injury and its complex effects; Special Education Needs and Disability; Paediatric neuro-rehabilitation; Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy; and Understanding children with SEBCMH issues. She has also spoken at professionally focused Paediatric Brain Injury Conferences.
Jan now manages MATRIX Neurological; uses her lived-experience to help others; oversees a range of complex cases; and delivers ABI injury awareness training.
