As a learning disability nurse, Helen worked in the NHS for 25 years, across a range of services including elderly care, respite services (short breaks) and individuals detained under the Mental Health Act.
Helen briefly left the NHS to run her own business – a private day nursery for children aged between 0 to 5 years. She kept the nursery for some years after returning to the NHS.
She joined CPI in 2011 as a GPI delivering a range of programmes including MAPA, Safety Intervention and CH3 across a range of health and social services. She started within the customisation team and then moved to the instructor team.
During her time with CPI she completed a Bsc in Health & Social Care (Restraint Reduction).
She enjoys the variety of programmes as well as meeting and learning from the participants as they have a wealth of expertise.
