Gill Greaves has over twenty years’ experience advocating for vulnerable people. She has a degree in Social Policy and Counselling and is the main carer to her sister Susan who is Autistic and has learning disabilities
Gill set up a Charity in Oldham C.O.R.R.A.A.L in 1997 to help, support and advocate for older and vulnerable people after her mother was badly abused in 2 care homes. She has spoken at Westminster about quality of life and care for older and vulnerable people. She has also campaigned at the House of Commons on the dangers of miss prescribing Benzodiazepines. As part of this campaign she designed and delivered a conference with speakers from America on the dangers of Aspartame with medication prescribed to older and vulnerable people. Gill has worked with local councillors and MPs to change local government policy in Oldham on 'fairer charging' for home care.
For the past decade She has led Streetbikes as a non-executive director and Chief Executive, which she set up 10 years ago. Streetbikes actively promotes cycling to people of all abilities, able bodied or disabled, women and young people.
