Giles has 25 years’ experience of working with UK, Irish and international charities. Before joining Carers Trust as Director of Fundraising and Grants, he was CEO of International Inspiration, a London 2012 Olympics international legacy charity.
Prior to that he spent five years at VSO initially as Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and then as Head of Strategy Change leading on their cost reduction and performance programme.
He has worked at director level for FARM-Africa, Centrepoint (as a consultant) and Enable Ireland in income generating roles.
In his spare time, Giles is a keen open water swimmer and was President of South London Swimming Club, the club resident at Tooting Bec Lido, and has swum the English Channel.
He has direct experience of being a carer and the challenges this brings.
