Gemma is a Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy within Urgent Care at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. Gemma qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 and has worked in a broad variety of clinical areas prior to specialising in Urgent Care. She leads an established team of first contact Physiotherapy practitioners across 2 busy Urgent Care Centres. Gemma works closely with all multi-disciplinary team members and is actively engaged in departmental teaching and training. Gemma has recently completed a non-medical prescribing course at the University of Salford. She is currently an active member of the Health Education North West Allied Health Professionals in ED/ UCC focus group.
