Fiona is an experienced clinician and change manager and has worked at a senior level across public and private health sectors and the criminal justice systems at local, regional and national service improvement and strategic / policy level. She has experience of operating in a wide variety of roles from clinician to senior management grades and brings credibility and authenticity to her ability to lead and direct complex programmes of transformational change within complex environments.
Fiona is a Registered Nurse and a Registered Psychologist (C. Psych Forensic) and has spent the past 15 years in senior strategic leadership roles within the NHS, undertaking roles that have effectively translated national policy into workforce, commissioning and service improvement programmes within the field of mental health and learning disabilities.
She is currently working as the NHS England Head of Transformation for the Transforming Care programme and is responsible for the delivery of the national plan ‘Building the Right Support’. Fiona has been in this post since October 2015 and is on secondment from a substantive post within NHS England (Deputy Director of Nursing).
