Emma has worked extensively in the Creative Sector, starting out in broadcast journalism, producing documentaries and managing stakeholders for the UK digital switchover at the BBC. Emma now employs her expertise as a Director in Higher Education at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston. Emma believes passionately in the power of arts and creative activity to heal and engage communities, enhancing wellbeing and building support systems for young people. She has been involved in shaping support for neurodiverse people on campus as well as being a founding member of the Creative Mental Health Framework, currently being delivered by her team in the Creative Innovation Zone across the University of Central Lancashire to improve wellbeing among the LGBTQ+ student community.
