Emma is the Development Manager at Investing in Children, a children's human rights organisation based in the North East of England. Investing in Children works alongside young people to support them to be involved in a dialogue with adults about issues that affect them that results in meaningful change to young people's lives.
Prior to working for Investing in Children, Emma worked for Children in Scotland where she was part of the team to set up My Rights, My Say, supporting children in Scotland aged 12-15 with additional support needs to exercise their rights to be involved in decisions about their support in school. She is also a qualified children and families social worker and has always had a focus on children's rights in her work.
