Emily has worked in the creative sector for 20 years. Through her background and training in performance and her work in arts leadership she has a deep passion for youth-led participatory practice and has spent a large part of her career co-designing creative programmes in collaboration with underserved young people to support their cultural, personal and social development.

She chairs the Virtual Schools Midlands Creative Network, Lincolnshire Music Hub, sits as a Trustee for Threshold Studios and is an area council member for Arts Council England.
