Eleanor Briggs is the Head of Policy and Research at Action for Children. Action for Children helps disadvantaged children across the UK. Our 7,000 staff and volunteers operate over 550 services, improving the lives of over 300,000 children, young people, and families every year.
Eleanor joined Action for Children in January 2017 to lead the charity’s policy work, with a focus on early intervention, permanence and mental health and well-being.
Before this Eleanor was the Director of Policy and Campaigns at the National AIDS Trust where she worked on equality and human rights issues.
Eleanor began her career in the civil service in the EU and International team at the Women and Equality Unit. Eleanor has an MSc from the London School of Economics in social policy. At weekends Eleanor enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her two children.
