Dr Prathiba Chitsabesan is a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry working in a large mental health and community trust within Greater Manchester. She is an Honorary Research Fellow and Lecturer (University of Manchester); over the last 12 years she has contributed to national reports and guidance for the Youth Justice Board and Office of the Children’s Commissioner regarding the needs of young people in contact with the criminal justice system. Previously a clinical advisor (Greater Manchester and East Cheshire Strategic Clinical Networks), she is delighted to have joined the national team in supporting the Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health Programme (NHS England) as the Associate National Clinical Advisor.
