Dr. Paul Sacher is a leading expert and recognised author in the field of child weight management, nutrition and health. He is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and adults struggling with overweight and obesity. Over the last 19 years he has been working to develop, evaluate and disseminate effective lifestyle weight management interventions globally.
Paul is co-founder of the MEND programme and Head of MEND Research and Development at Mytime Active. He was the driving force behind the development, adaptation and evaluation of MEND’s programmes in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada and the Netherlands.
Paul is also Honorary Senior Research Associate at University College London and has previously worked in the UK National Health Service for 11 years. Paul was a finalist in the Chief Medical Officer’s Public Health Awards, UK, in 2010 and awarded the British Dietetic Association’s most prestigious award (Rose Simmonds) for 2011.
Paul has a BSc in Medicine and a post-graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cape Town and a PhD in Child Health from University College London.
