Patricia Wilkie, President and Chairman of N.A.P.P. (National Association Patient Participation) is a social scientist with a particular interest in the patient perspective and standards of patient care. This is reflected in academic work, in writing and in all her voluntary work with professional, statutory and other organisations including Medical Royal Colleges, disease organisations, charities and government committees. She is a former lay assessor on GMC fitness to practice panels, a current member of Dr Foster Ethics committee and an assessor for Modernising Scientific Careers.
